It's the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere. Two cars crash into each other, and those both cars are completely totaled, nobody is hurt.
One of the drivers is a doctor, and the other is a lawyer. Both are furious, but they agree it's impossible to assess blame for the accident.
The lawyer calls the police on his cell phone and says they'll arrive in ten minutes.
It's cold and damp and both men are shaken. The lawyer offers the doctor a drink of brandy from a hip flask. The doctor gratefully accepts, and hands it back to the lawyer, who puts it away.
"Aren't you going to have a drink?" the doctor asks.
"Oh sure," replies the lawyer, "after the police wrap all of this up."
