Harold and Delbert were working in the field when Delbert stopped to use the outhouse.

"Tarnation!" yelled Delbert from inside. Harold ambled over to investigate the cry, and learned that Delbert had dropped fifty cents into the disgusting bowels of the outhouse.

Delbert paused for a moment to consider his problem, and then he threw his wallet into the toilet pit as well.

"Daggone, Delbert!" Harold spouted, "What did you go and do that for?"

"Well," Delbert said, "I sure shooting ain't going down there for just fifty cents."
